little bird

Hello there.... I finished my little bird. An idea, I had for a baby gift. I used deep pink, light pink, golden yellow, light aqua and a variegated light green. The fabrics are a simple design of light aqua & yellow. and would you believe. ?..I had a yellow zipper, in my basket ready, to be used. All the colors are light and soft and it just says 'Baby' to me. So, I'm loving it and know my friend will too! I took my inspiration, from this tutorial and sketched 'Little Bird' for an embroidery pattern.  Now, you can stitch one too! Enjoy!

Spring is in my Studio

Spring has arrived in my Studio with beautiful sun pouring in the windows. I'm in cleaning mode and the curtains are in the wash, buckets are soapy and hot and my broom & dustpan have a new relationship with lint. It smells of fresh lemony baking, up here as a slight cool breeze blows in. I have a good lemon cleaner and I'm burning a tart. I turn the tart warmer on first thing when I come up here to work.
Ah, work....many new things are coming and very exciting things are happening right now. I'll fill you in when the time is right and hope you stop in often to see some new stitches. I'm working on several projects at one time and feel somewhat like my little drawing up there. Spring is on my mind and I'm starving for color.
