WELCOME!

It's my day for the Door Stop...
Meet the crazy garden cat. He sits by the door to let
visitors know that I am Out in the Garden.
Boy! Can't wait for Spring!
I didn't follow a pattern, I just made him as I went along.
I used....
Muslin for the body, fabric scraps, some Ruby is in there....
a little embroidery thread, stuffing, 2 bags of beans
sewn in a pouch & placed inside to weigh him down.
the banner just sort of came about because I love them so....and I needed to bring color in....so I started folding 2.5" fabric squares into triangles. I stitched them, placed them and sewed them down with some rick-rack.
I liked that alright...now I need something here.....so I began pulling threads and stitching. One of my favs... Garden Stitching! came to mind....so I spelled it out and stitched. Added some flowers and then made a small patchwork strip running across the bottom.
gotta' go thru the button jar for projects like these....so I did...
found two yellow ones and liked that ok....so I sewed them on.
His eyes were stitched
a heart shaped nose...ruby cheeks and some grey whiskers....
He went thru the sewing machine...attaching the ears and a bottom.
Stuffed nicely and then my bean bag, I sewed up

went inside and lays at the bottom for weight.
He turned out pretty cute I think....

and he'll sit at the door in the spring
when I am out there pulling weeds.
I hope you enjoyed!
Happy sewing and......
